Stephensons Estate Agents' ("Stephensons" or "we") Privacy Policy is designed to help you understand how we collect and use information on the Stephensons website (the "Site").

The Information We Collect

When you register on and throughout your use of the Site you provide Stephensons with certain personally identifiable information including without limitation your name, address, Postal Code, email address, telephone number, information about whether you plan on buying and/or selling property, home search criteria, information about financing for the purchase of property and other information related to the sale and/or purchase of property.

When you send email or other communication to Stephensons, we may retain those communications in order to process your enquiries, respond to your requests and improve our service.

How We Use Information

Depending on your use of the Site and the services you request from Stephensons, we may use your personally identifiable information for the following purposes:

  • To enable our Property Consultants to contact you and provide personal service, or to provide you with personalised content, including email messages and/or search results.
  • To facilitate all aspects of the sale and/or purchase (or potential sale and/or purchase) of real estate.
  • To facilitate all aspects of the rental (or potential rental) of real estate.
  • For the purposes for which you provided the information, including to process and respond to enquiries and to contact you about services you have requested.

  • To solicit your feedback about our services.
  • To alert you to new Site features, promotions, services, and to deliver other information from which you may opt out.

In the future, we may sell some or all or our assets. In such transactions, customer information generally is one of the transferred business assets. In the event of a sale of our assets including our database, customer information will be transferred. We will require buyers to honour our privacy policy.

Sharing Of Information

Stephensons will provide you with an opportunity to opt-in to share information with and receive information from Stephensons partners. When you opt-in to share information with and receive information from Stephensons' partners, your information will be shared with these partners at Stephensons' discretion. You may choose to work with companies that are not affiliated with or related to Stephensons, including without limitation lending institutions, title companies, insurers, appraisers, home warranty companies and other service providers, in connection with your real estate transaction. These companies may each have their own privacy policies governing how they handle your personally identifiable information. Stephensons accepts no responsibility or liability for third party privacy policies or the actions of any third party with respect to your personally identifiable information.

We may also share your information in response to a subpoena, legal order or official request, when we believe you have acted in violation of this Privacy Policy, or when we believe that doing so may protect your safety or the safety of others.

Information that is de-identified (stripped of any information that could be used to identify you) may be used by Stephensons for any reason and shared freely with affiliates, the press, partners and other third parties.
